Founded in 1933, the Iowa Horse Shows Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the traditional society breeds – American Saddlebreds, Hackney Ponies, Morgans and Arabians. The IHSA offers accreditation to horse shows throughout the Midwest and offers wonderful year-end High Point, Versatility and Sportsmanship awards to its members. It is the goal of the IHSA to promote a fun, family atmosphere!

We regret to inform you that the 2008 Iowa Summer Spectacular, scheduled to be held July 25-27, has been cancelled due to the recent, extensive flooding in Iowa. FEMA still has control of the Iowa Equestrian Center at Kirkwood Community College, which is being used to house hundreds of animals and livestock displaced by the floods. The show management appreciates everyone's continued support of the show, which will continue, better than ever, in 2009. Mark your calendars for next year!
